In a Multi-Level or Mixed-Level class the teacher will usually adapt the class and poses to who is in the room. A beginner may be practicing alongside an Intermediate student, but the teacher will offer alternative poses or variations of a pose that accommodates the diversity of practitioners.

Classical styles of yoga have been passed down through lineages of teachers. They may follow a more disciplined form or encompass other traditional aspects of practice from the Eight Limbs of Yoga like philosophy, pranayama, chanting and meditation.

Both Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga are slow-paced forms of yoga. They are gentle practices, suitable for all levels. Yin Yoga is a slow moving practice that cultivates an active stretch whilst Restorative yoga engages props to hold the body in passive poses for longer. Both forms of practice calm the mind and nervous system.

Although all yoga is potentially therapeutic, Yoga Therapy is the specific application of yogic tools to address an individuals physical, mental and emotional needs. Trauma-informed yoga is based on a particular understanding of trauma as an imprint that impacts the entire mind-body system.
